Post 2

First at all, music is the most important thing to me in my life. What I mean is not just for fun, through music you can express a lot of things, things you maybe didn’t think you had or feel. Music is with me as a soundtrack in a film, is with me all the time, giving to my life other views and joy.

Actually, I like almost all kinds of music, is not like something definitive, I just hear something and I said if I like or not, obviously you have some musical inclinations about some genres. I think the sort of music I like the most have relationships with the blues, as rock, jazz, and sub product of these, as grunge, progressive rock. I like too some classical compositor as Beethoven and Chopin. I don’t really have a kind of music I dislike, but I’ve never hear folk music.

My favorite group is “The Beatles.” I know them since I was a child. My dad and godfather are fanatics and they pass me their likes. I like them because they changed everything. It wasn’t just music, they were a culture phenomenon. They improved their music in each new record, and they did all we know of them in just 9 years. Nobody else I think could have done that and I doubt somebody ever will. The last year I went to Bs.As.  to see Paul McCartney. I was afraid I would not see him but thank "John"; I’ll see him again in May.

I have other favorites like Elvis, Muddy Waters, Coltrane, Jimmy Hendrix, Etta James, Pink Floyd, Dave Brubeck, and a lot more like the Tango. Thank god, the list is huge and I hope to keep adding to it, although you never have enough time to hear all you’d wish.

Music is a natural fact, is recognized in each culture, without music life wouldn’t be the same. Its because is a media of expression, and we need express our self. It doesn’t matter if is music, art, writing, or whatever. The important thing is that is an expression, and music exists and I’m sure always will be.

  1. I think that people who have a wide range of musical inclinations are, on the whole,open-minded, tolerant people, and people who are always willing to try new things. Do you think you fit in this description?
